Dean Laham is a Senior Investment Advisor at Manulife Wealth Inc. and is based in Montreal with his partner Alain Hanna.

Dean and his team develop wealth management solutions for high-net-worth clients based primarily in Montreal and Toronto. His team manages fixed income, equity, and alternative investment portfolios.

His office has been ranked #1 for the past 16 years, while receiving several hard-earned recognition honors.

Always one to exceed expectations, during his university years from 1999 to 2003, Dean was a member of the Canadian National Olympic Boxing Team.

In his spare time, Dean finds himself spending precious time with his wife Tawnia and his three daughters, Alyssia, Maya and Dalya.

Alain Hanna is based in Montreal along with his partner Dean Laham and his supporting team. Alain holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from John Molson School of Business – Concordia University. As well, he is a CFA charterholder, which is the highest distinction in the investment management industry. It is recognized and respected worldwide.

Awarded with the Top Work Ethic and Top Leadership, by the branch's management team, Alain works day in and day out to achieve the highest level of excellence for his clients and associates.

In his spare time, he makes it a priority to remain active and enjoys running, biking or just about any high intensity sport.

Raphael began his career at Manulife Wealth Inc. as one of the first associates of the team. He completed a bachelor's degree in finance, which was marked by academic excellence and dedication.

Passionate about people and numbers, he knows how to work with them, all while using them to the advantage of his clients. His listening skills and professionalism make him an outstanding advisor on our team. He is always on the lookout for new knowledge and practices to maintain a very high level of service in order to bring constant added value and peace of mind to his clients.

Outside of the office, you can find Raphael cooking for his family, travelling the world or reading a good book. He is also an avid sportsman and chess player.

After graduating from the École des Sciences de la Gestion at UQAM with a bachelor's degree in finance, Steven began his career at RBC where he discovered his interest in entrepreneurship and customer relations.

He then joined the Manulife Wealth Inc. team where he achieved tremendous success thanks to his tenacity and attention to detail. From the very beginning, he earned the distinction of being a rising star within the office.

Passionate about what he does, Steven is dedicated to his work and ensuring that his clients' needs are met. He inspires confidence through his active listening and reliability. Steven is committed to the success and peace of mind of all his clients.

Steven is an avid chess player, outdoor hiker and hockey player. He is also an avid traveller and is always planning his next excursion.

Mathieu Bourcier obtained a bachelor’s degree in Market Finance from HEC Montreal. During his university studies, he demonstrated his entrepreneurial side and his desire to give back to society by participating in several activities, including the complete organisation of the HEC Montreal Tax Clinic. Motivated by his passion for finance but also by his enthusiasm to meet and help people, Mathieu joined the Manulife Wealth Inc. team.

Aware of the impact of each decision, Mathieu is rigorous and diligent in all his files to ensure that his clients are well served. He quickly distinguished himself and earned the trophy of rising star within the office.

An avid golfer, outdoor enthusiast and chef with his wife, Mathieu never gets bored in his spare time.

Matthieu Deschênes graduated with great distinctions and numerous bursaries of Excellence from the University of Ottawa in finance.

Before joining the team, Matthieu acquired previous experience in various areas such as Business Valuations, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Investment Risk. He came to Manulife Wealth Inc. to share his passion and expertise in finance as well as apply his knowledge to assist his clients in managing their wealth while providing them with a peace of mind.

Matthieu speaks fluently French, English, and Italian. In his down time, you can find him with a book and a good coffee in hand, on the golf course or simply enjoying a great meal with his family.

Alexia holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Concordia University and has developed a passion for the capital markets from an early age. She took the initiative to enroll in the Goodman’s Institute’s MBA in Investment Management program at Concordia while also pursuing her CFA charter and has successfully passed the level 2 CFA exam.

Alexia is deeply committed to assisting her clients in reaching their financial goals by proactively advising on investment and retirement needs. She consistently keeps her focus on building disciplined actions around her work ethic, professionalism, and continuous learning. Utilizing her background in mathematics along with her interpersonal skills, she puts theory into practice. Alexia is a key member of the team.
